Who we are
ExamMode is made by confirm: legal entity and address. By using the app or this website you agree to these terms.
The service
ExamMode is an iPhone app that pauses the apps you choose during study hours and unlocks them with minutes you earn by answering questions generated from your own course material. It needs iOS 17 or later and Apple’s Screen Time permission.
Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. Keep your device and account secure; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live.
Subscriptions
ExamMode Pro is a subscription sold through the App Store:
- Yearly: $59.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial.
- Monthly: $9.99 a month, with no trial.
Prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency and may vary by country. Your subscription is billed to your Apple ID and renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. A free trial becomes a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. You can manage or cancel it in your iPhone’s Settings, under your Apple ID, then Subscriptions. Refunds are handled by Apple.
If your trial ends without a subscription, blocking turns off and your courses and questions stay saved.
Your content
You own the material you upload. You give us permission to store it and to send its text to our AI provider, so that we can generate questions and grade answers for you. We use it for nothing else. Only upload material you have the right to use.
Generated questions
Questions and grading are generated by AI and can be wrong. Review them before you rely on them, and use the “Report a problem” button when one is off. ExamMode is a study aid, not a guarantee of any exam result.
Blocking is best effort
iOS does the actual blocking. ExamMode is a study tool, not a safety or parental-control product. Don’t rely on it in situations where being unable to open an app could cause harm. iOS may reset the Screen Time permission after an update; the app shows a warning when that happens, and blocking stays off until you turn it back on.
Fair use
Don’t try to break the service, overload it, reverse-engineer it, or use it for anything illegal. We may suspend accounts that do.
Ending things
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. We can end or suspend the service for an account that breaks these terms, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. confirm: have a lawyer review this section and the governing law below
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of confirm: jurisdiction.
Changes
When these terms change we’ll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
